New Zealand Prime Minister confirms that the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy are Key Workers.

In all the political doom and gloom swirling around at the moment, it’s always refreshing to see a little light-hearted and friendly content on the news. This time, we owe it to Labour prime minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, who confirmed that the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny are classed as key workers.

We understand this is a huge relief to the children of New Zealand. While Ardern showed an optimistic view, she also warned that due to the Easter Bunny being so busy at home, they may not be able to visit all households (likely to prepare for any shortages). The tooth fairy – and we hear she is furious about this – was neglected in any elaborate discussion.

With things as bleak as they are, it’s nice to know that children’s traditions are still being kept alive through the Coronavirus pandemic. Ardern in general seems to be a very down-to-earth Prime Minister – I’m jealous of her here in Britain – and is decidedly better than her Australian counterpart.
